FINE LINE
Fine line is my most recognisable specialisation: strokes as thin as a silk thread, details measured in fractions of a millimetre, permanent jewellery on skin that stays sharp over time. Explore the gallery and click on any image to see it full size.
THE FINE LINE
TECHNIQUE
Fine line is the style that forgives least: no colour, no fills, nothing to hide an uncertain stroke. What remains is only the pure quality of the mark. Every piece that leaves my studio in Fiumicino must be precise in the same way a piece of jewellery is: every detail counts, every millimetre carries weight.
Before touching skin, I study proportions in the preparatory drawing, check stroke weights across different areas, and assess how the denser zones will behave over time. A fine line piece that is well thought through before the needle is already a piece that will heal well, will not close up in high-density areas and will stay legible for years. This preparatory phase often takes as long as the session itself.
I use needles designed specifically for fine line work: single needle and tight configurations that give a level of control over ink deposit that standard needles simply cannot reach. Deposit depth must be consistent to ensure the stroke heals without lateral ink spread. A single extra millimetre of depth changes the final result in an irreversible way.
I work with botanical, astronomical and geometric subjects, and with minimalist portraits. I receive clients from Rome, Ostia, Civitavecchia and the Fiumicino airport area who are looking for something delicate, precise and deeply personal. If you have an idea, bring it to the studio: we will start from your anatomy and build the tattoo you deserve together.
